STIEG LARSSON (1954-2004)

Robert Aschberg, Expo magazine:

“It came as a rock hard blow from nothing. His smile disappeared and – suddenly – exit Stieg Larsson. In the middle of an intense work day at the editorial, of course. Stieg always worked hard, also to relax. He was experienced, educated the public and historically knowledgeable as only a few. Often restless, but very patient when it was needed. Never cocky, but extremely clever, whether he lectured for Scotland Yard or to unruly schoolchildren. Cursed destiny and deepest sorrow. Stieg just died and disappeared. He was in his prime, and the brilliant detective he had written during the night for fun will soon become extremely successful, even internationally. Perhaps Stieg sometimes worried a bit too much about Expo. It wasn’t necessary. The young journalists in the editorial had in fact learned a lot more of him than he could imagine. Hats off to one great guy! We pay tribute to his memory.”
