So you read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and it was great and … you lost it a bit there about all the names and that island and those locations. Well, it turns out that Larsson’s original maps of Hedeby Island weren’t included (!) in the English translation of the first book in the Millennium trilogy. :-(

But never fear! Reg Keeland, Stieg Larsson’s English translator, has generously provided fans with English editions of the maps for free download. Now you can make your very own inlay-map (any size you want) to your personal copy of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Here they are:

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the maps. I won’t tell you how much time I wasted on Google Maps before I found out Hedeby is fictional. :/

My son gave me the complete set, and I really wanted a map. I asked if he found one, or if the area was real. So tonight I now have a map. Many thanks.

You’re welcome! But I’m really indebted to Reg Keeland, Stieg Larsson’s English translator who gave me permission to make them available – just for the fans! :-)

P.S. Hedeby is a fictitious place, but the maps are real enough :-)

Thank you for posting the maps. I started to draw one up from descriptions in the book and I thought “Wait a minute. This must be online somewhere.” And sure enough… Thanks again.
